Social Media and the 11Eleven Project
Since 11/11/11, our project has been taking over the world one photo, status, tweet and YouTube clip at a time!
People from all over the world have used social media to share a part of their lives on that auspicious day with the 11Eleven Project. From Vimeo to Flickr, Tumblr, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, social media has made the project both possible and truly global.
Throughout the lifespan of the project, we have used social media to create, and communicate with, our growing international community. Producer Morgan Calton says that this is because, “social media has opened the world up so that conversing with someone 10,000 miles away is as simple as talking to your neighbour! It is a fantastic tool to be able to have at our disposal to make sure as many people know about us as possible.â€
With the power of social media resting in the hands of its users, it’s up to you to bring about the changes you want to see in the world!
